How do I install Quartet on my Mac?
The Quartet apps are Mac-compatible (as opposed to a dedicated Mac app). They can be installed on newer Macs which use the M-series chips (i.e. ‘Apple silicon’ processors, not Intel).
- Purchase the Quartet app or app bundle via the App Store on your iPad or iPhone.
- Then, on your Mac, go to the App Store and click on your name (bottom left) to go to your account. (You need to use the same Apple ID you used to purchase the iOS apps).
- From the menu select ‘iPhone & iPad Apps’ and find and click on the Quartet app.
- Click on the ‘Get’ download button and the app will install.
Please note: One purchase will allow you to run a Quartet app on all devices – iPad, iPhone & Mac.
Why can’t I see the Quartet bundles in the Mac App Store?
You can only buy the Quartet bundle by visiting the App Store on an iPad or iPhone and purchasing it from there. The individual apps will then be available for use on your Mac so long as you have ‘Apple Silicon’ processors (i.e. the M-series chips).
Mac – ‘clean install’
Should you need to do a clean install of Quartet on your Mac, please follow these instructions:
- Delete your Quartet app(s) from the ‘Applications’ folder
- Empty the ‘Trash/Bin’
- Click on ‘Finder’, then ‘Go’ in the Menu Bar
- Scroll down to ‘Go To Folders’
- Type in ~/Library/Containers/
- At that destination, drag the Quartet folder(s) to ‘Trash/Bin’
- Empty ‘Trash/Bin’
- Restart your device.
- Reinstall the latest versions of your Quartet apps on the App Store.
